Skateboarding legend and punk rocker Duane Peters has publicly walked away from his support of Donald Trump.

The Master of Disaster had previously aligned himself with MAGA politics and was outspoken about his approval of Trump during his presidency.
For a long time, DP did not shy away from making his political views known.
He praised Trump openly and even released pro model boards that leaned into MAGA graphics.
At the time, DP framed his support as anti establishment and in line with his personal beliefs about authority, government, and control.
Despite that public support, Peters has also said in the past that he never actually voted for Trump.
He once explained that while he wanted Trump to win, voting itself is not punk and went against how he saw himself and his values.
Even so, his words and branding placed him firmly in the MAGA camp in the eyes of fans and critics.
That stance has now changed.
The Acid Drop inventor recently posted a message online explaining that he no longer believes in either side of the political system with "TRUMP KILLS" message.
According to him, years of backing Republican politics eventually led to frustration and distrust rather than loyalty.
He now claims that both the right and the left are essentially the same and that the public has been misled.
In his own words, Peters wrote:
"WHO REMEMBERS WHEN I LIKED TRUMP AND NOBODY LIKED TRUMP?
THEN….. OP WARP TOUR SPEED WOKE SOME OV US UP . THEN WE REAL EYES WEVE ALL BEEN DUPED. the right and the left are the BLOODY SAME SNAKE WITH 2 H….eds. ZIONISTS AND MUZZLE EMZ #transfixed #evildead #think #firelake"
The post reflects a mix of anger, conspiracy thinking, and disillusionment rather than a move toward another political group.
Instead of backing a new candidate or ideology, DP appears to be rejecting the entire system altogether.
His language and tone suggest he feels betrayed and manipulated rather than persuaded to change sides.
As expected, reactions have been split.
Some skaters see the statement as consistent with his long held distrust of institutions and authority.
Others are concerned about the direction of his rhetoric and the ideas he is now repeating.
What is clear is that DP is no longer presenting himself as a Trump supporter and is distancing himself from the MAGA label that once defined his political image.
