With his group Pros Being Bros, he has been helping skaters find guidance through their love for skating and their faith in God.

Earlier today, Jonsson shared that he and his family were just a few feet away from a shooting at the Santa Monica Pier.

Thankfully, he says they are safe.

His post read:

"We were just feet away from the shooting at the Santa Monica Pier about 10 minutes ago. Praying for everyone affected and thanking God that we’re safe. 🙏"

The incident resulted in two people being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators secured the area of the pier while gathering information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Portions of the pier may be temporarily restricted as the investigation continues.

Police said the incident remains under investigation and additional details will be released as they become available.

Jonsson’s quick reflection shows the importance of faith and community during frightening situations, and he urged others to keep those affected in their thoughts and prayers.
