Twenty years ago, pro skater Dave Bachinsky landed his first kickflip at the legendary El Toro spot, and he is still feeling the excitement today.
In a heartfelt post, he encouraged everyone to get out and try a kickflip, sharing a little about his own experience as a kid.
For years, he was convinced he would never land it, but with practice, patience, and a lot of falls, he finally made it happen.
Dave took a moment to thank the people who have been part of his skate life.
From friends to photographers and supporters, he recognized the community that has shared in the stumbles and successes over the years.
He closed his post with a simple message saying: Try the tricks that scare you, enjoy the ride, and celebrate your progress no matter how long it takes.
The kickflip at the iconic El Toro skate spot was more than a trick for Dave. It was a personal victory that reminds him of why he fell in love with skating in the first place.
Dave’s post is a warm invitation to get on your board, take your time, and celebrate the small victories along the way.
Landing that trick might take years, but the memories and experiences along the way are worth every fall.

"20 years ago today!! I hope everyone gets out and lands a kickflip today!! As a kid I spent many years convinced I’d never kickflip. If this does anything, I hope this inspires others to push the boundaries ❤️🔥 Thank you to all the people that have been part of this ride, sharing, supporting along the way. Much love!! @rickithedude
