The new studio album of the lo-fi, dark, and raw black metal pioneers from the Kolbotn Norway, Darkthrone will be released on June 25, 2021, via Peaceville Records.
Formed in 1986 as a death metal band under the name Black Death. The two founding members have mastered the art of their unique music styles.
After dropping the death metal genre in 1991, the black metal intricate sound has helped define their music in the '90s with their hit album "Transilvanian Hunger" together with "Under A Funeral Moon."
The black metal duo showcased phenomenal teamwork coordination in creating music for all the metal fans in the world. Whether they keep changing their genre or stay true to black metal, the metal devotees are still embracing Darkthrone as one of the best metal bands in history.
As Fenriz himself puts it: "No matter what happens we will still sound like us, it seems!"
