Professional skateboarder Corey "Duffman" Duffel shared a disturbing post online after being attacked by his longtime neighbor while trying to recover from an earlier injury.
Duffman explained that he was out for a short bicycle ride in his cul-de-sac, just testing if he was ready to start getting active again.
Sh*t hit the fan fast when his neighbor, the one who’s been making life miserable for a decade, started screaming and came at him.
According to Duffman, “The Nextdoor neighbor started yelling at me. As he does every day or any time someone is down the street. After us exchanging words he hit me with a broom and then a metal dustpan.”
He also shared that the same neighbor kicked his dog, Blixa, during the incident. Police were called, and the man was arrested.
The 41-year-old described feeling both physically and mentally drained after the attack.
He suffered a concussion and shared a photo and a video of himself bloodied, saying he was thankful the injury didn’t affect his eye. “Happy Halloween,” he added, “We are recovering and mentally exhausted. Concussed but glad it wasn’t my eye.”
In a follow-up post, Duffman talked more about the long history of harassment he has faced from this neighbor. “Anyone else live next door to someone that makes life hell?” he wrote. “For ten years this guy has been harassing me and everyone that comes over. Whether it’s the constant spraying me and Blixa with a hose, the yelling, telling me and my friends that we should die, shining flashlights into the yard after midnight, filming me and my house at all times. He’s tried hitting me with shovels and things over the years.”
This latest attack, the Adored Skateboards boss said, happened when he tried to talk to the man and ended up being struck in the head with a broom handle and twice with a metal pan. “Lucky I didn’t lose an eye,” he added.
Other neighbors reportedly witnessed the attack and called the police, leading to the man’s arrest.
However, the skate punk rocker shared that the same neighbor has already returned home, leaving him uneasy about what could happen next.
The skateboarding community and fans have flooded his social media with messages of support, expressing concern for his safety and frustration over the ongoing harassment.
Duffman says he and Blixa are taking time to heal and process what happened. “We are recovering,” he said, “but it’s been a rough few days.”
