The Nine Club podcasters Chris Roberts and Roger Bagley went on a mission to hit up their previous guest on the show, skateboard deck legend creator Professor Schmitt, to make their board brand.
As the crew went on, Bagley showcased his talent skating the curbs in his local skate spot Venice Beach with a great skate edit, while they also showed the back story of how it went.
On the other hand, Professor Schmitt went on Instagram and posted his appreciation for The Nine Club crew.
"This Skate Science Saturday we review the science of what it takes to make a trick happen. A year ago, on my Stop And Chat episode I started to push the Get Roger Over The Curb initiative after seeing how far Rodger was willing to go to make it happen." Professor Schmitt said.
He continued. "I was impressed with Rodger's DIY initiative to reduce the surface tension on his board, so I pressed some blanks PSstix on 7/19/21 with Nine Club graphics in a Slick Bottom construction On 2/18/22. Roger Bagley, Chris Roberts and Bail Gun Gary visited my Workshop to craft out some boards with the feedback supplied. Roger skated Tim filmed and eventually it got edited"
"So, realize longer it takes to make something happen the greater the Satisfaction Of Achievement when it's done." He explained. "The next breakthrough will not happen without the #WillingnessToTry so be patient like Roger"
"Did Rodger get over the curb because of his longer nose, slick bottom, or the stability that his gouged-out section on the nose and vs the curved bottom of a board? Maybe only roger knows." He said.
