Professional skateboarder Chris Cole has added something unexpected to his long list of creative projects, and it feels very much like him.
The GOAT just revealed his signature Crimson “Skate or Die” knife, a limited run piece made using real skateboard decks.
It is personal, hands on, and rooted in the materials that shaped his life.
This is not just a name slapped onto a product.
Cole was directly involved in making these knives, right down to working with layers of maple veneer pulled from decks.
Each handle carries the marks and textures that come from boards meant to be skated, not displayed. This feels like something built in a workshop rather than a factory.
Only ten knives were made, which makes this release especially tight.
Every piece features skateboard deck handles, a burnt bronze Cerakote finish on the blade, and a leather sheath included with each knife.
It is the kind of item that sits comfortably between skate culture, craftsmanship, and collectible design.
The two time Skater of the Year shared the drop details himself, keeping things very on brand and very real.
He announced that the knives would be available Thursday 1/8/2026 at 12 PM PST through his collaboration with Crimson Knife Co.
He also joked about inhaling plenty of maple veneer dust while making them, which says a lot about how involved he was in the process.
There is also some love at home surrounding this project. Whitney Cummings, who will soon be Mrs. Cole, is surely proud of him and the work he put into this release.
