Skater rapper Pharrell Williams, also known as Skateboard P, is bringing back one of the most recognizable sneakers from the early 2000s, the BBC Ice Cream Board Flip.
The model is returning in the “Watermelon” colorway, a playful combination of green, pink, and white that highlights exactly why the shoe was so memorable in its first run.
The Board Flip originally came out during a time when skate culture and streetwear were starting to merge in exciting ways.
Skateboard P and Nigo’s collaboration for Reebok’s BBC Ice Cream line made the silhouette instantly recognizable thanks to its bold pastel colors, fun graphics, and unique skate-ready design.
Beyond just the shoe itself, the project included a real skate team, carefully put together by industry insider Nino Scalia.
This team featured pro skaters like Terry Kennedy and Jimmy Gorecki, both of whom played key roles in popularizing the shoe and the line.
TK even received his own signature colorway for the Board Flip, cementing his place in the story of BBC Ice Cream.
The new 2025 release keeps much of the original charm while updating it for today. The upper is built from green suede with pink overlays and a crisp white leather tongue.
Brown midsoles add contrast, and the iconic Ice Cream “drippy cone” logo is embroidered on the heel.
Gorecki recently teased the shoe on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the retro release.
Fans can expect the BBC Ice Cream Board Flip “Watermelon” retro to drop sometime in late 2025 or early 2026, giving collectors and skaters a chance to grab a piece of early-2000s history.
