Battle At The Berrics touched down in Japan and the very first round already got skateboarders hyped.
PJ Ladd now rolling as Anantjeet Singh stepped back into the game against Japanese skater Ryo Motohashi who came through ready to hold it down for Japan.
If you grew up watching Singh you already know what he meant to skateboarding.
The clips are burned into memory and to see him back in the middle of a battle is wild. The name changed but the board control and style are still locked in.
He came out looking calm but everybody could feel that this was bigger than just another match.
Motohashi came in cool and collected too.
Skating in his home country in front of a crowd that wanted to see him shine gave the moment some extra weight. Every trick had people locked in and you could feel the tension rise with each letter on the line.
