Pro skater Bam Margera is once again showing love to the LGBTQIA+ community after posting a photo from the famous rainbow bridge skate spot in Wilton Manors, Florida.
The longtime skate icon shared a photo and captioned it:
“A 50-50 up (the straight side) of the gay bridge of Wilton Manors, Florida ”
The colorful bridge is a gnarly skate spot and Bam looked right at home skating it while embracing the humor and culture surrounding the location.
Bam has never really acted uncomfortable around LGBTQIA+ topics and has often joked openly with friends while showing support for queer skaters and fans.
Recently, he even posted a funny image running to the beach with skate legend Danny Way while filming in Costa Rica.

That type of humor has always been part of Bam’s personality.
At the same time, many core heads appreciate that he does not treat gay skaters like outsiders in skateboarding culture.
Instead, he openly includes them in the conversation and treats it as a normal part of the scene.
As skateboarding continues becoming more welcoming to different people and lifestyles, moments like this show how much things have changed from the old days when LGBTQIA+ skaters often felt ignored or unwanted in parts of the community.
For many skateboarders, seeing Bam Margera casually skating the rainbow bridge and joking about it online is simply another example of skateboarding becoming more open minded while still keeping the fun and gnarliness that made people love it in the first place.
