Professional skate photographer Atiba Jefferson has become a part-owner of American Football House, a multi-faceted complex in Los Angeles, California.
American Football House is the place that graced the cover of their first self-titled album in 1999, and they now own the unlikely musical landmark together with Attiba Jefferson, American Football, Polyvinyl Record Co., and Chris Strong.
Jefferson, who has been a longtime homie with American the band, is excited about this new opportunity as they all made a huge announcement in a shared post on the Polyvinyl Record Co. and American Football Instagram page.
They posted. "Last fall we received word that 704 W High Street in Urbana might be sold soon. Shortly thereafter @americfootball, @polyvinylrecords, @chrisstrongphotography, @atibaphoto & @openhousecontemporary made a pact: we'd all buy the house together before developers could demolish it and build a condo."
"Today, with sincere joy, we are excited to share that we have collectively purchased The American Football House in an effort to preserve its place and legacy within the community that built it," they said. "Here's to keeping this landmark alive for many more years to come."
