Pocket Skate Mag linked up with skateboarding legend Arto Saari during this year’s CPH Open to spend some time shooting on super rare 8x10 Polaroid film and talking about photography in between.
The whole thing felt low-key in the best way. Just time spent walking, watching and waiting for the right moment.
Arto showed up with a massive camera setup and a handful of rare sheets that most people would hesitate to use. Each shot mattered.
The video follows Arto as he shoots, shares stories and reflects on what photography has meant to him over time.
It’s casual and thoughtful, with no filter and no big agenda. Just one of skateboarding’s most respected figures doing something he clearly cares about.
