Creature Fiends triple OG overlord Al Partanen has turned 50-years-old, and the crew celebrates his dedication and contribution to the skateboarding scene.
The mini-documentary birthday video gift for Partanen, who loves to see skateboarding rise to knock off behemoth spots in the streets, bowl, or vert ramp, has got all the crew felicitating.
Partanen dug some of his old VHS skate videotapes, and as he shows the footage, he reminisces back to the good times when pure skateboarding was all about raw and authenticity.
Now the ever-growing fiends of Creature fans hold to the belief that the talent of the hesh pro skater established a pattern, one that could take many slams but never in life to give up the passion for skating.
Partanen also showed his zines for his homies as he talked about their DIY mentality on building spots for skateboarders.
When asked about DIY skate projects, he said: "That's part of the dance of being a pro skateboarder. It's like what do you contribute, and how do you inspire other people using what you got to get what you need."
