Pro skateboarder Aaron Kyro has once again shown where his priorities lie. Views over loyalty.
After kicking out YouTube skaters Ricky Glaser, Nigel Jones and the rest of the crew without a single explanation, Kyro has now decided to bring back Gabe Cruz, conveniently at a time when Braille Skateboarding’s numbers are tanking.
As we previously reported, Cruz walked away from Braille Skateboarding, leaving behind the so-called "skateboarding empire" built around Walmart board reviews for kids.
Meanwhile, Glaser, Jones, and the rest of the crew were left completely in the dark, unceremoniously cut from the channel they helped build.
Instead of waiting around for answers that never came, they took matters into their own hands and launched "Da Boyz," a new channel that quickly gained traction, proving that their success had nothing to do with Kyro.
Now, as Braille struggles to pull the same engagement it once had, Kyro has decided it's time to bring Cruz back into the fold.
Not because of loyalty, not because of friendship, but because the numbers speak louder than anything else.
With Da Boyz thriving and Kyro’s viewership dwindling, it seems like a desperate attempt to revive what’s left of his dying brand.
And Cruz? He’s doing exactly what Kyro wants. Helping him scrape together whatever's left of Braille’s old audience by catering to the same kids who tuned in for Walmart board reviews.
At the end of the day, the message is clear: if you're useful, you're in. If you're not, you're gone.
It doesn’t matter how many years you put into the channel, how much content you helped create, or how much of your personal brand got tied to Braille. When Kyro decides you don’t fit his plans anymore, you’re done. No explanation, no warning, just tossed aside like yesterday’s clickbait.
Meanwhile, Da Boyz continue to grow, they’re doing what they love, building something on their own terms, without having to beg for scraps from a channel that lost its soul a long time ago.
And as Braille keeps milking the same tired formula with Cruz back in the mix, the only question left is: how long until Kyro finds his next pawn to use and discard?
