Hopefully, Jonas Wray's family can find some solace in his untimely death in the fact that he was a very loved and respected individual. Tributes from the skateboarding world continue to pour in, with dozens of professional skateboarders share their thoughts on the legacy of the skateboarding veteran.
A GoFundMe campaign started by Eric Threlfall, a very close friend of the pro skater Jeremy Wray and their family to help them with funeral costs and other expenses as they do their best to give Jonas Wray the send-off he deserves, after all, he did for all of us. Any little bit is greatly appreciated.
The fund smashed through its modest $44,087. However, the goal is $50,000. You can donate to help with the expenses below.
"Almost halfway there in under 2 days! The amount of support coming in through all channels has been overwhelmingly awesome." Jeremy Wray wrote. "There have been positive messages coming in non-stop since this happened on Sunday night.
He said. "I’ve been doing my best to go through all of them as they appear. Tons of people have shared and tagged me in images and stories of Jonas and their good times with him. We obviously know how much he meant to you all, because he meant so much to us as well."
"Let’s keep the stories going and the images coming. His memory is alive and well and his legacy will live on through all of us now. Last time I forgot to even mention I put the link to the go fund me page in my bio, but it looks like a lot of people figured out how to reach it and donate anyway."
"Our close friend started it up on Jonas’s behalf just to help us out when the time comes to have his services and everything that comes along up to as well as after that. I myself was definitely not prepared for this. I’ve never had to do any of this for anyone. I will do my very best to do it right for my brother. Nothing but love to you all! Let’s do it for Jonas now." The brother of the skate veteran posted.
