Pro skater Sean Pablo’s time with Converse CONS may be coming to an end after roughly 12 years with the brand.

As we previously reported, Sage Elsesser and Sean Pablo joined Converse CONS back in 2014, when both were young skaters making a name for themselves.

Their arrival came during a period when Converse was building up its skate program with a fresh group of talent that would go on to become closely associated with the brand.

Sean quickly became one of the more recognizable skaters within the CONS roster. His skating, style, personality, and creative work all helped shape his identity within the scene.

At the same time, Sean remained closely connected with Supreme and FA, two brands that have been a big part of his career and personal style.

His relationship with FA eventually came to an end, and he later joined Harmony Korine’s EDGLRD company, further expanding his work beyond skateboarding.

Now, it appears another long-running relationship may have reached its conclusion.

Sean was recently photographed wearing Vans, reportedly indicating that he has parted ways with Converse CONS.

The photo was taken by photographer, videographer, graphic designer, and skater Sandy Kim, who captured Sean wearing the Off The Wall skate shoes.

Seeing someone who has spent more than a decade with a brand suddenly wearing another skate company’s shoes is enough to get skaters talking.

There could also be some bigger changes happening behind the scenes at Converse.

Sources close to ShreddER claim that CONS could be affected by broader changes at Nike, following reports of cuts to the company’s marketing budget and around 1,400 job reductions as part of a wider restructuring effort that includes Converse operations.

It is still too early to say what those changes could mean for the CONS skate team. A number of decisions could be taking place internally, and not every roster change necessarily has the same reason behind it.

Sean is also not the only CONS skater recently linked with an exit. As we previously reported, Alex Hatfield has also parted ways with CONS.

With Sean now being spotted in Vans, questions are naturally starting to come up about what could be next for him.

After spending so many years with CONS, his next footwear sponsor could be interesting, and at this point, Vans could be the one to watch.
