His post drew attention from fans who follow both his career and his presence in skate culture.
Back in September 2016, pro skateboarder Brian Anderson came out as gay and received support from many within the skateboarding scene.
His announcement opened conversations and helped more people in the community feel seen.
Since then, more queer skaters have been sharing their identities openly and representing themselves in contests, video parts, and events.
The skateboarding world has continued to evolve, with more LGBTQIA+ athletes gaining visibility and support from fans and peers.
Several brands have also become more open in their messaging, featuring inclusive campaigns and giving space to a wider range of skaters.
This shift has led to more representation across different levels of the scene.
As we previously reported, Bam Margera has also shown support for the LGBTQIA+ community, joining other skaters who have spoken positively about inclusion and acceptance in skateboarding.
The GOAT himself Chris Cole recently joined in by reposting a Philadelphia Eagles message celebrating Pride Month, which included a colorful logo and a simple greeting.
The post from the team read: “Happy Pride Month
”
While reactions to Pride Month can vary across the skateboarding community, Cole’s repost shows that one of the most respected names in skateboarding is comfortable publicly recognizing and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community this June.
