He mentioned that he originally reached out about Skate For Peace but then learned what had happened.

He mentioned mood struggles and how depression can affect people even when it is not always visible from the outside.
His words were not written in a formal way and instead came across like a direct talk to the skate community and anyone who might be going through similar feelings.
The Delta Skateboard pro also shared a strong message about checking in on each other.
He said that no matter what someone is going through, they are not alone, even when things feel very heavy.
He encouraged people to speak with someone they trust, whether that is a family member, a friend, or a doctor.
He made it clear that opening up can matter more than staying quiet.
The 40 year old mentioned that he has seen situations where people stayed silent and later it was too late to help them.
That experience shaped the way he spoke, as he urged people to not isolate themselves and to speak up even if it feels uncomfortable. He also said that people care more than many think, and that feeling unwanted is not the truth even when thoughts try to convince someone otherwise.

He said that if he had known more, he would have listened and been there. That part of his message carried a strong sense of care for the people around him, especially those who might be struggling without saying anything.
He closed his message by sending love and respect to Marc, and reminding everyone again that they matter and are not alone.
He posted a short note saying You are not Alone along with heart and prayer emojis, along with hashtags dedicated to support and remembrance for Marc.
The skate community continues to share memories and thoughts about Marc, while Bastien’s message has added a personal reminder for people to look out for each other and speak openly when things feel heavy.
