Satanic professional skateboarder Lizard King recently jumped online to let everybody know that he is selling one of his prized skate possessions, a custom Green Room or Die VX1000 camera setup that he says dates back to his days riding for Deathwish Skateboards.v
Lizard King explained that he originally bought the VX1000 because he wanted to film more footage on the classic camera format.
According to him, there was something about the old VX footage that brought back that raw nostalgic feeling that many skaters still love today.
Even with modern cameras everywhere now, the VX1000 still holds a special place in skateboarding culture because of its look and history.
The setup he is selling is not just an ordinary camera either.
He described it as a mint condition custom painted VX1000 paired with an MK1 lens, also known by many skaters as the Death Lens.
The package also comes with batteries, extra gear, and a bag to carry everything around.
Lizard King made it sound like he wants the camera to go to somebody who really appreciates skate history and VX filming culture.
He posted that he is asking $4,000 for the full setup and told interested buyers to hit his DMs if they want to pick it up.
He wrote:
“FOR SALE!!!! THIS THING IS MINT CUSTOM PAINTED VX1000 + MK1 AKA DEATH LENS!!! ASKING $4,000 LET ME KNOW WHO WANTS IT BABY!!!! LITTLE PIECE OF SKATE HISTORY😈😈😈😈”
For OG skate heads, the VX1000 still carries a legendary reputation. Some of the most iconic skate videos ever filmed used that same camera model, which is why collectors and filmers are still willing to spend serious money on original VX setups today.
