The Rockstar Energy Open is coming back to Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland from August 14 to 16, marking its third year in the city.
Rockstar Energy and Sport Oregon shared the announcement, confirming another run of skateboarding competitions mixed with music and public activities spread across the weekend.
The event brings together men’s and women’s street and park skateboarding contests, with athletes competing across different formats over the three days.
Alongside the live contests, there is also a Video Qualifying Series that allows skateboarders from different parts of the world to submit clips for a chance to earn a spot in the main lineup.
Outside of the competition areas, the park will be set up with a festival village that includes food vendors, sponsor setups, and live performances throughout the event schedule.
It is designed to give attendees more to experience beyond the skating itself, with different areas to explore while the contests are running.
All of the competitions will be streamed live on The Platfrm so people who cannot attend in person can still follow along.
Entry for general admission is free, while VIP ticket options will be available for those looking for a more premium viewing setup. More details such as athlete lists, music lineup, and submission deadlines for the video qualifiers will be released closer to the event.
