Most people only know Dave Chappelle from his stand-up or movies, but not everyone realizes he’s been a core skateboarder for decades.

Back in the late 90s, long before skateboarding was all over corporate sponsorships and big brands, Chappelle was already part of the streets, learning tricks, rolling around with the homies, and just living that skate life.

He has spent time at spots like Skatepark of Tampa, and he hasn’t just kept it to himself.

He’s been skating with his kids, showing them how to ride, laughing, and making memories on the board.

Skating isn’t just a hobby for Chappelle. It’s a way to connect with people, stay grounded, and be part of something real.

Fast forward to 2026, and FTC Skateboarding decided to show their appreciation for twenty years of friendship with Chappelle.

They shared a photo of him holding his skateboard, looking comfortable and happy with the crew that has been part of his skating world for years.

They kept it simple and real when they posted:

"20 years of friendship, love, and support 🧡 @davechappelle FTC family for life"

Chappelle still shreds to this day.

Watching him skate after all these years shows that some passions don’t fade. They grow with you.

The friendship with FTC shows that real connections in skating go deeper than just tricks or competitions.

It’s about loyalty, respect, and sticking with the people who have been there from the start.

For anyone who grew up watching Chappelle or loves skating, you already know that the streets are places where time passes but the love for the board and the crew never dies.
