After his name began circulating online in connection with recently released Epstein documents, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk decided to clear the air and address the claims directly.
As previously reported, Hawk was allegedly named in files released as part of U.S. Department of Justice records related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Once the documents became public, Hawk’s name quickly started appearing across ShreddER top stories. Skaters and fans had questions, timelines were being debated, and speculation spread fast.
It is important to note that we at ShreddER never accused Hawk of wrongdoing. The reporting focused strictly on what appeared in public government documents and the fact that his name was being discussed publicly. Nothing more than that.
Still, with the internet doing what it often does, the 900 trick legend felt the need to speak for himself.
The Birdhouse Skateboards owner took to social media to explain that he never met Jeffrey Epstein and never visited Epstein’s island. He also shared personal details to clear up confusion connected to photographs tied to a wedding many years ago.
Tony Hawk posted the following statement:
"Here are the facts and timelines of my nuptials. I apologize if they do not fit a narrative of nonsense.
1990: Married in Fallbrook, CA at home
1996: Married in San Diego, CA at the Hilton Hotel
2006: Married in Fiji on Tavarua Surf Island
2015: Married in Ireland at Adare Manor
One of the guests in 2006 took photos of the Fiji ceremony and licensed them to Getty Images. His name is, coincidentally, Mark Epstein. He is an accomplished action sports photographer from Wyoming and has no relation to Jeffrey Epstein, who I never met and whose island I never visited. This is all easily verifiable information. Facts are not fungible."
The 57-year-old followed that up with an apology directed at the photographer who had been caught up in the confusion, writing:
"Sorry you also got pulled into the misinformation vortex @markeps @markepsteinphoto"
Hawk’s explanation centers on a name mix up involving the photographer who licensed images from the 2006 Fiji wedding.
According to Hawk, that individual has no connection to Jeffrey Epstein despite sharing the same last name. Hawk emphasized that the information is verifiable and encouraged people to look at confirmed details instead of running with assumptions.
Hawk appears focused on setting the record straight and moving forward, while reminding readers to slow down before drawing conclusions based on document releases and viral posts.
