Professional skateboarder Chris Russell has officially announced that he is leaving Creature Skateboards after more than 15 years with the brand.

Posting on social media, Russell reflected on the time he spent riding for the team and the experiences that shaped his career.

“With a heavy heart i say farewell to @creaturefiends. After spending half my life riding for @creaturefiends ,15 years road miles and adventures around this earth im leaving with the upmost gratitude for the family and bond formed while riding for this brand. My hero’s became my friends and the dream of a 8 year old child who watched born dead on repeat became true. With that it’s hard not to get emotional about moving on with something that’s so synonymous with my career. I just want to thank the original generals @navs5000 @parts @larbvomit

@lostincranslation for having a huge impact on my path to success, as well as @dafnoah @regularolelee @saggerdaniels
On a note all my boards currently and proceeding 2026 are my last decks I’ll have with @creaturefiends so get them while they are around. Thanks everyone ❤️”

Chris is keeping it real, showing love for the crew that had his back and for the dream he chased since he was a kid.

It isn’t just about skating. It’s about the people, the late nights, the road trips, and the moments that made it all worth it.

Creature Fiends responded with respect:

“Nothin but love Chris! 🖤💚 Respect for the endless miles, long nights, and years spent reppin the Black & Green. Salute! 🫡”

Skaters are already feeling this one. Chris’s final boards are dropping through 2026, so anyone who has been rocking with him can grab a piece of this chapter before it’s closed.

Leaving a team like Creature after so many years is heavy, but Chris is moving forward and keeping it authentic. Just respect for what he built and what is next for him on the streets and in the skate scene.
