After over a decade with NHS, Andrew Cannon shared that his time as Santa Cruz Skateboards’ brand manager has come to an end.
In a respectful update, he confirmed that he's no longer working with the company but still holds a deep affection for the people behind it.
“Those guys are my family,” Cannon said. “They’ve been with me through the good times and the bad times.”
His message was honest and heartfelt, with no signs of drama or bitterness.
Just a clear appreciation for everything he experienced during his time there.
He spoke openly about a conversation with his boss, Jeff Kendall, where they discussed the future and came to a mutual understanding that any further growth for him would have to happen outside the company.
“I’m sad not to be working there anymore,” he admitted, “but I wish them all the best.”
While change like this can be tough, Cannon seemed calm and optimistic about what’s next.
He didn’t go into detail about his upcoming plans, but his tone suggested he's looking forward to whatever comes his way like skating, making videos, and becoming a consultant.
Cannon played a key role in shaping the public face of Santa Cruz during his time with NHS, and his departure marks a meaningful shift.
Still, it sounds like things ended on respectful terms, and there’s clearly still a lot of mutual respect between him and the team he worked with for so many years.
