It’s pretty cool when the cops and skaters team up for something positive and that’s exactly what happened recently in Redlands.
Professional skateboarder Andy Roy and the crew at UNFKD partnered with the local police department to host a laid-back event where kids walked away with new skateboards and hats.
The event was all about bringing people together and giving back.
For many of the kids there, it was their first time getting a board, which made the day extra special.
Seeing the police officers handing out gear and hanging out with the community created a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere.
Roy shared how refreshing it is to be on the other side of things. No more running from cops, but actually being invited to hang out with them and support the local youth.
It was a great moment for everyone involved, especially the kids who got to take home cool gear and maybe discover a new hobby.
