There Skateboards' professional skateboarder Chandler Burton isn’t the type to sugarcoat things.
During a new episode of The Bunt Live with Cephas Benson and Donovan Jones, Burton got real when the hosts hit them with some spicy rapid-fire questions and Burton didn’t hold back even a little.
First, when asked about the worst company out right now, Chandler threw out Louie Barletta’s Jacuzzi Unlimited without hesitation.
They/them also went straight for the jugular again, saying the last person they’d ever want to have in a skate session is none other than the Gatekeeping King Weckingball.
But things really heated up after that.
When Benson and Jones asked Burton who they thought had the worst style in skateboarding, Chandler didn’t flinch. They simply said: “Gino Iannucci.”
The room immediately exploded with laughter. You could tell no one expected that answer - mostly because Gino’s reputation has always been built on being one of the smoothest and most respected skaters to ever step on a board.
In the skate world, talking bad about Gino is almost unheard of. But Chandler kept it moving.
Trying to explain a little, Burton added, "I didn’t grow up watching him, but I’ve seen him recently. I’m like, girl!"
That got Benson and Jones laughing all over again.
But it wasn’t all roasts. Chandler made it clear that, despite their opinion on Gino’s skating these days, there was still some appreciation there.
The LGBTQIA+ pro skater said, "He’s hot. I understand why men like looking at him, cause he’s hot."
Donovan Jones couldn’t resist chiming in after that: "The Gino fan club and Gino push truthers are coming for you."
Burton, totally unfazed, smiled and fired back: "I’m ready for it. Yeah, come for me."
It was one of those interviews where the mix of honesty and humor just worked. Burton kept it real the whole way through, even if it meant saying something that would probably make a few old-school skate purists spit out their coffee.
