If you grab the deluxe edition, you’ll be dropping into the game early and skating as none other than the Doom Slayer and the Revenant.
That’s right! Grinding rails and blasting through demons aren’t so different after all.
According to reports, the game drops at $49.99 for the standard edition, while the deluxe edition sits at $69.99, packing in the two Doom-inspired skaters, exclusive decks, create-a-skater items, and extra tracks. Including a full-band version of Doom’s iconic E1M1 theme.
For hardcore collectors, the $129.99 edition throws in all that plus a Birdhouse skate deck you can actually ride.
Pre-ordering gets you access to a demo right now, letting you session two skaters in two parks while previewing some of the soundtrack.
One name that won’t be on the roster, though, is Bam Margera. Despite being part of the original THPS 3 lineup, he’s missing this time around. Whether it’s a licensing issue or something else, Activision hasn’t said, but fans have definitely noticed.
Either way, Doom Slayer grinding a rail to the sound of punk rock is about to be a reality. The only question is—will you be dropping in?
