As we previously reported, skateboarding legend Mike Vallely launched his new brand, Vallely Skateboards, while operating his current Street Plant skateboard company.

But four months after its announcement, it had to be shut down together with Street Plant Skateboards.

Fellow professional skateboarder Kristian Svitak, who rode for him for almost ten years, informed all fans about the company's stance that it has ended.

The reason was for Mike V to focus on his family and his punk band Black Flag. The Cariuma rider has had numerous skate brands that failed, including TV Skateboards, which he co-founded with Ed Templeton.

Despite the closing of Street Plant and Vallely Skateboards brands, Mike V still rides for Powell Peralta, according to his bio on his official Instagram account.

Mike V is going to be super busy with Black Flag's music and upcoming tours. It's a whole new chapter for him, and he's totally stoked about jumping right into it.

With his history of gnarly skating and punk rock, rest assured that he will undoubtedly continue to make an influential impact. Keep an eye out for more as he is not done yet!
