Deathwish Skateboards professional skateboarder Jake Hayes recently shared a throwback post on Instagram featuring his Deathwish tribute board adorned with a Transworld Skateboarding cover shot from December '94, showcasing skate legend Geoff Rowley.

However, the post received unexpected commentary from the icon himself.

Rowley's unfiltered response, "Why am I seeing this here for the first time? "Kind of weird. Flattering, but weird," was promptly deleted from the post.

It seems the comment deletion stemmed from the fact that Rowley wasn't formally informed about the tribute, and Hayes neglected to tag him in the original post. Fans quickly took it upon themselves to notify Rowley, prompting his gnarly reaction.
