The skateboarding community became embroiled in a controversy surrounding the longest darkslide trick by Ricky Glaser, leaving professional skateboarder Andy Anderson to ask permission to release the clip even though the YouTube star had already done it.
After Glaser dropped his new YouTube reaction video regarding the situation, fellow YouTuber John Hill shared his thoughts on the situation, shedding light on the nuances of skateboarding etiquette.
As we previously reported, the controversy arose when the Braille Skateboarding employee executed a noteworthy NBD longest darkslide.
Peculiarly, however, lies in the fact that Anderson had been planning to include the same trick in his upcoming video part. The conflict began when Glaser released his skate clip before Anderson had the chance to showcase his rendition.
Hill weighed in. According to Hill, the situation is somewhat amusing, as Anderson's execution technically consisted of two different tricks.
Hill added a humorous touch to the incident, acknowledging the silliness of such controversies in the world of skateboarding.
“Andy popped out technically two different tricks.” Hill said. “skateboarding is silly though, in no way would I ever abide by that ABD rule. I don’t keep up with new tricks so I’m probably gonna end up filming and posting a bunch of ABDs [Laughs].”
