The scorching heatwave in Phoenix has taken an unexpected toll on the city's iconic saguaro cacti, and even skateboarding legend Aaron "Jaws" Homoki couldn't escape the effects.

The resilient desert giants that have stood tall for decades are succumbing to the extreme temperatures, creating a buzz around town and prompting locals to take extra care of their beloved plants.

Jaws recently shared on his YouTube channel that his cherished 30-year-old saguaro cactus had taken a tumble.

The towering cactus, a symbol of the Arizona desert's endurance and beauty, had been a prominent feature of his property for many years.
