Brazilian pro skater Kelvin Hofler emerged victorious in the 2023 Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Chicago Men's Final in a thrilling display of skateboarding prowess.
The event, held at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, drew thousands of skateboarding fans worldwide, all eager to witness the intense competition.
Hofler, a dominant force in the skateboarding world for several years, entered the competition as one of the underdogs. He did not disappoint, delivering an impressive performance that amazed his competitors.
The 30-year-old showcased his technical abilities and versatility on various obstacles throughout the competition with his smooth, effortless, but gnarly halfcabs technical tricks. The trick he landed was that the halfcab backside tailslide to fakie out earned him a 35.7 score from the judges.
Fan favorite Nyjha Huston missed his switch frontside 5-0 grind, making him a third placer and Canada's finest Ryan Decenzo as the second placer for his frontside shuv to backside nosegrind.
Congratulations to Hofler for bringing his a-game to the contest and winning it all.
