Lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Nirvana Kurt Cobain has some memorabilia he left before passing.
According to reports, Cobain's Iron Maiden "Killers" Zrolack skateboard sold this weekend during Julien's Auctions held at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York.
In a letter of authenticity, a friend of the skateboard's owner who witnessed the artwork being completed noted that "Kurt was staying at my parent's house on 1st Street in Aberdeen, Washington", and this is where he created the piece.
Other treasured items include the 1969 Fender Mustang, '65 Dodge Dart, and A Gumby Toy To Be Auctioned By Julien's.
In honor of the upcoming Mental Health Awareness Month in May, a portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit "Kicking The Stigma" to amplify the message of "Together for Mental Health."
It also provides support, educates the public, and advocates for policies that support people with mental illness and their families.
