Swedish black metal masters Watain released a new nefarious single, "The Howling" and announced their forthcoming debut album "The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain" via Nuclear Blast Records on April 29, 2022.
"The Howling" is the long-awaited return of the one and only Theistic Satanist band since 1998. The first single from their upcoming album has made their devotees scream their name with blasphemy.
Watain has been known to perform live using candles, pyrotechnics, and, akin to numerous black metal acts, limbs and bones of animal carcasses in which they stayed true to their roots on their new music video.
When asked about the new single, evil metal vocalist Erik Danielsson said. "The Howling refers to the wordless voice of the wild, wailing eerily through the ages, urging us to leave our safe spaces and explore the dark recesses of the great Abyss both within and without. To see it, to learn from it, to know it."
