Blake Carpenter, a professional skateboarder in the industry for many years, recently revealed that he only learned to do a 360 flip three years ago.

It's surprising, considering the level of expertise expected from a pro skater. However, the reason behind this revelation is even more interesting - Carpenter hated the trick when he was a kid because everyone did it in lines.

It wasn't until later in life that he realized how much he appreciated the complexity of the trick and decided to learn it.

Carpenter's story reminds us that sometimes our perception of things can change over time, and what we once disliked or hated can become something we come to appreciate and love.

It also highlights the importance of not letting the opinions of others dictate our preferences.

In his new Crail Couch interview, the 30-year-old explained that he didn't like doing 360 flips when he was younger because everyone else was doing them.

He felt that the trick was overused and wanted to do something different. As he grew older, he started to appreciate the skill and technicality of doing a 360 flip, and he decided to try it.

Carpenter's decision to learn the 360 flips has paid off despite the challenges. He now incorporates the trick into his repertoire, becoming one of his signature moves.
